Job Summary :
SPL is growing and is currently looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Broussard, LA. This position is responsible for managing accounts payable, quality review of trended income statements, reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts, and executing various accounting, finance and reporting functions of the Company's month-end close process.
Job Responsibilities :
- Independently handles all corporate accounts payable functions including invoice-PO-receipt match, resolving PO, contract, invoice or documentation discrepancies, and scheduling / preparing check runs and ACH payments;
- Reconciles employee expense reports and corporate credit cards and prepares for payment;
- Responds to vendor requests for information and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date;
- Maintains vendor files;?
- Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and balancing sub ledger reporting to general ledger;?
- Prepares and maintains the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and internal controls, flow charts, including financial reporting, external reporting, and external audit;
- Assists in processing / preparing all 1099 reporting annually;?
- Contributes to department and organization special projects / duties as needed;
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting discipline preferred.
Relocation :
This position is not eligible for relocation.

This position does not require travel.
Work Schedule :
This position will work 8 hours, Monday-Friday in the Office. This position is subject to overtime availability to meet deadlines.
