Experienced Dog Groomer

We are looking for a talented Pet Groomer to join our team. Applicants must be able to perform in a fast-paced, detailed environment and must be reliable.

Requirements:

All applicants must be dependable, detail-oriented and willing to train others. Must have the ability to perform in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. Must possess a master of grooming skills and all bathing tasks and techniques. Must have scissoring skills and knowledge of all breed cuts and have a strong ability to handle all dogs, including puppies and seniors, with patience and compassion.

Role Requirements:

• Experience in Pet grooming required
• Ability to lift and groom dogs up to 50 pounds
• Possess skill as a trained pet groomer
• Mastery of all bathing tasks and techniques
• Must be willing to lead, communicate and train others
• Must meet state age requirements to work
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Willing to work in a humid environment
• Follow all safety procedures and company's standards of quality
• Function as part of a team on a daily basis
• Ability to use POS computer system

Hair Cuts for Dogs:

A groomer must have the ability to correctly identify breeds, coat types, tools, uses and techniques. Must be able to perform all grooming procedures, and finish work to company standards and productivity for the following styles:

Body: can adjust to and accommodate client requests.

• Bladed body stylized leg
• Body contour trim
• Hand scissors and misc. trims

Head: can adjust to and accommodate client requests.

• Round
• Rectangular

Ears: can adjust to and accommodate client requests.

• Beveled
• Tasseled
• Combo

Feet: can adjust to and accommodate client requests.

• Beveled
• Rounded
• Bladed

Tail: can adjust to and accommodate client requests.

• Plume
• Carrot
• Pom-Pom

Cleaning:

You will be required to correctly complete daily, weekly and monthly equipment cleaning and salon cleaning duties. You may also be required to perform additional duties as needed.

Work Environment:

Most job duties are performed in the grooming salon. Position requires bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 pounds) and standing for long periods of time. A large amount of time will be spent in direct contact with the dogs, and the remaining time will be with the other salon team members and store partners. The work environment may be noisy and wet. All safety precautions and procedures must be followed at all times.

Job Type: Full Time, 30-40 hours per week

Pay: $24-$27/hour based on experience
