Overview:
The Water Park Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Water Park, Pools, and Lake. The overall goal of the Water Park Manager is to continually strive to achieve the companies' goals and standards through coaching, training and managing all Waterpark and Pool staff by taking a hands-on, team player approach. The Water Park Manager will develop a seasonal activities program that will enhance the value of a guest stay at the property. The Waterpark Manager must provide exceptional customer service to satisfy expectations and heightened experience for all guests. The Waterpark Manager is directly responsible for staffing and training in all receptive areas following company standards and SOPs.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all operational functions related to the safe and effective operation of the Aquatics Department.
- Create and maintain the operating budget.
- Ensures that proper staffing levels are maintained. Assists in all lifeguard recruitment efforts.
- Provides direct supervision for Waterpark lead and supervisory staff.
- Responsible for the coordination and conduction of all lifeguard & aquatics training programs and ongoing in-service programs.
- Responsible for supporting any special projects and events planned by Marketing, Sales, Revenue or other departments, such as press/media events, previews, promotions, commercial shoots, etc. as assigned.
- Responsible for maintaining all Split Rock Resort standards and enforcing all resort policies & procedures.
- Responsible for monitoring equipment and facilities to insure proper maintenance.
- Maintaining par inventory levels of inventory equipment, housekeeping supplies, employee uniforms and other uniform standard requirements.
- Responsible for training/compliance standards for all existing and new employees.
- Responsible for the water park cleanliness and overseeing the keep up of general maintenance
- Monitor and submit bi-weekly payroll records for employees.
- Train, coach, counsel and discipline employees in accordance with Human Resources and company associate handbook.
- Must be able to complete non-routine tasks as assigned.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Must be computer literate, MS Word and Excel.
- Participates in Resort Manager on Duty Program
- Flexible schedule which may require nights, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications:
- Prior Water Park experience (required)
- Current lifeguard, CPR, and AED certification (preferred)
- Leadership, organizational, communication and problem solving skills (required)
- Strong customer service skills required
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Do algebraic calculations, percentages, etc.
- Must be able to stand and walk continuously throughout work shift.
- Answer and communicate information verbally and in writing.
- Ability to use and operate computer keyboards, registers, fax machine, copier, key machines and 10-digit calculator.
- Must be able to learn and properly use company Applications, and Microsoft Office Programs.
- Ability to sit for long period of time.
- Must be able to stoop and bend.
- Must have developed English skills to participate in discussions and read and write effectively.
- Ability to manage change effectively and to be flexible.
- Be able to project a professional manner at all times.
- Mentor employees to develop their careers and assist with growth within the Company.
- Provide a comprehensive succession plan for new hires to ensure proper training including testing including testing, role playing and reviewing ECS trainings
- Train all Waterpark staff and Pool Attendants.
- Create and issue Evaluations to the team. Provide constructive criticism and come up with an action plan to address areas of improvement.
- Responsible to communicate guest satisfaction scores with the team, create action plans to increase scores and come up with ideas to motivate the team.
- Weekends, holidays, and some nights required.
Salary : $40,900 - $51,800
