Overview:
We are looking leaders that have a passion to serve others! Working at the front desk means you are at the hub of the hotel with the most interaction with our guests. As the Front Desk Assistant Manager you will assist the Front Desk Manager to bring this group to a cohesive team focusing on providing our guests with excellent service while maintaining all Split Rock Resort by Bel Air Collection standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise Front Desk staff: hiring, firing, performance evaluations, training, and development. Schedule staff according to labor standards and forecasted occupancy.
- Maintain standards of guest service quality. Contribute to profitability and the guest satisfaction perception of other hotel departments. Increase guest satisfaction by delivering improved products through employee development, job engineering, and quality image.
- Answer inquiries regarding hotel services, guest registration, and local shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Maintain records of room availability and guests' accounts. May assist in making, confirming, and canceling reservations for guests.
- Understand and enforce hotel company credit policies. Account for all cash and make deposits per hotel and company policies.
- Manage the reservation function to achieve the highest possible room occupancy and average daily rate through suggestive selling by employees.
- Ensure staff uses guest interaction skills effectively. Reward employees who meet or exceed guest expectations.
- Address departmental-related guest complaints and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Assume responsibility for assigned employees in the absence of the Department Manager, assign work, and ensure performance of assigned employees.
- Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in guest services, general office, accounts receivable, or customer service; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
