Job Description
The Director of Quality at SPOC Automation will play a key role in overseeing the quality control and assurance processes across the entire production lifecycle. Responsibilities include ensuring that products meet industry and company standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
- Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor product quality from design through end of life, ensuring that all products meet specifications for use in the field.
- Conduct audits and evaluations of suppliers to maintain supply chain integrity and resolve quality issues promptly.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and standards, including OSHA, ASME, and others impacting product design, manufacturing, and performance.
- Analyze production data to identify trends or potential issues and lead efforts to resolve them before they become significant problems.
- Manage a quality assurance team, including quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians.
- Collaborate with training departments to develop and conduct training improving employees' understanding of quality standards, regulatory compliance, and safety protocols.
- Lead, mentor, and provide ongoing support to team members, ensuring alignment with quality objectives and fostering a culture of quality across the organization.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and clients, to understand their needs and ensure the product meets quality requirements.
- Communicate quality reports to senior management, highlighting key quality metrics, issues, and improvements.
