Job Summary
HOURLY WAGE: $16.66-$18.06, Depending on Experience If a certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI), hourly wage is an additional $1.00 per hour. (details below)
Examples of Duties
Provides supervision at the entrance of the aquatic facility and waterslide area following the standard operating procedures of the facility.
Under general supervision provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service in a fast-paced environment.
Works directly with the public, greeting customers as they enter aquatic facilities.
Performs effective and accurate cash handling procedures.
Calculates amount due for admission and operates computerized cash register to accept payment and make change.
Maintains cleanliness and order of entrance area and aquatic facility.
Performs regular cleaning of designated work area(s) and may assist in light maintenance duties as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 15 years of age.
- Prior cash handling experience preferred.
- Must exhibit excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work well under pressure and time limits.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.
- Operate computers, standard office machines, and related software applications.
- Stand, walk, and climb stairs approximately 50% of shift.
- Lift and carry 10-65 lbs.; ability to move freely throughout the aquatic facility.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL POSITIONS:
BACKGROUND CHECK: All positions require successful clearance of a criminal background check.
WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR Additional employment option
The role of Water Safety Instructor can be performed by any aquatic facility team members. You DO NOT have to be a certified lifeguard to be a WSI. Water Safety Instructors (WSI’s) must be certified through the American Red Cross and are responsible for teaching Learn to Swim classes.
Employees who become WSI’s have more shifts available to them each week and earn an additional $1.00/hour for all shifts.
