NOTES: This is a seasonal position with no benefits. Spokane County Aquatic Facilities are typically open from mid-June through mid-August, with staff training beginning in late May. All positions require successful clearance of a WA State Patrol inquiry under the Child and Adult Abuse Information Act. This recruitment may be used to fill up to six (6) vacancies working 20 to 40 hours per week. HOURLY WAGE: $16.66-$18.06, Depending on Experience If a certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI), hourly wage is an additional $1.00 per hour. (details below)
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
(Duties may include, but are not limited to the following) Provides supervision at the entrance of the aquatic facility and waterslide area following the standard operating procedures of the facility.Under general supervision provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service in a fast-paced environment. Works directly with the public, greeting customers as they enter aquatic facilities.Performs effective and accurate cash handling procedures. Calculates amount due for admission and operates computerized cash register to accept payment and make change. Maintains cleanliness and order of entrance area and aquatic facility. Performs regular cleaning of designated work area(s) and may assist in light maintenance duties as needed.Assists in enforcing established facility rules.
