Job Summary
The SRDVC Executive Director is an administrative position responsible for leading the agency using standardized practices and methods of operation that align with the SRDVC mission and strategic plan. The ED reports to the SRDVC Board of Directors (BoD) Executive Committee and acts as a liaison between the governing board and the staff. They oversee personnel management, community relations and Coalition partners, marketing and publicity, grant management, financial stability, and administration of the SRDVC programs. In partnership with the BoD Executive Committee, the ED oversees the day-to-day operations except for those decisions explicitly requiring a vote of the BoD.
Job Duties & Responsibilities

General duties and tasks include, but are not limited to, the following responsibilities:
1. Management
a. Maintain a BoD and serve as an ex-officio member of the committees established by the BoD.
b. Responsible for the fiscal accountability and integrity of the organization including development of an annual budget with support from the BoD Treasurer and BoD.
c. Oversee financial reporting, budgeting and planning per GAAP and state RCWs.
d. Provide the BoD with program and financial updates monthly with BoD Treasurer.
e. Create and implement a plan for agency funding and sustainability in partnership with the BoD Finance and Development Committee and staff.
f. Lead fundraising for the organization including revenue enhancement strategies and execution by engaging board member and community volunteer assistance when needed.
g. Secure approval from the BoD for funding applications of $5,000 or more. Execute grant documents (pre- and post-award) as authorized by the BoD.
h. In partnership with staff and the BoD, identify and secure grants, contracts, and donations to further the SRDVC mission and strategic plan.
i. Oversee maintenance of official records, agency documents, contracts, and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
j. Coordinate and be responsible for work with the legal counsel of the organization, including preparation of agreements and contracts between the organization and third parties.
k. Manage and support implementation of projects with designated personnel and community partners.
l. Oversee the grant data management and other data tracking systems.
m. Manage professional service contracts, subcontracts, and MOUs as authorized by the BoD.
n. In collaboration with designated personnel, prepare and disseminate status updates/grant reports regarding project challenges and successes of project goals and objectives.
o. Represent the SRDVC with representatives from funding sources.
p. Collaborate with the BoD Finance & Development Committee on developing and implementing a strategic funding plan, including fundraising.
q. Inform the BoD meeting agenda, participate in BoD meetings and functions.
r. Uphold and/or revise organizational policies that align with state and federal regulations and laws relevant to non-profit organizations and the workplace.
2. Personnel
a. Responsible for personnel management and strengthening the workplace environment.
b. Conduct new employee searches and oversee the orientation and onboarding of new personnel and dismissal of employees when necessary.
c. Manage requests for personnel leave, PFML, professional development, travel, and other personnel requests covered under the SRDVC Personnel Handbook.
d. Provide consistent supervision and timely performance review of personnel.
e. Establish a workplace schedule for in-person office coverage for self and staff.
f. Uphold and abide by the SRDVC personnel policies and state and federal regulations and laws relevant to employee relations and the workplace.
g. Oversee the review and update of the personnel handbook with the BoD Personnel Committee on an annual basis to capture changes in the law and practice.
h. Coordinate with staff the development and implementation of an organizational operations manual, including a review as needed.
3. Coalition and Community Relations
a. Develop and maintain proper liaison with local, state, tribal and federal governmental agencies and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).
b. In conjunction with staff and the board, develop and execute communications and marketing plans consistent with the SRDVC image, and help oversee digital and print content.
c. Serve as the key public relations representative with media, community partners, and other interested organizations.
d. Maintain communication and updates with SRDVC members.
e. Represent the SRDVC with community partners and at community functions.
Job Qualifications
The position is an employee of the SRDVC bound by the SRDVC Employee Handbook.
1. ED Required Education/Experience. To perform successfully, an individual must have:
a) A minimum of a master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, human services, public administration, criminal justice or related fields.
b) Minimum five years of experience coordinating projects and working with multiple stakeholders.
c) Minimum five years of experience supervising staff.
d) Minimum three years of strategic planning and action planning experience.
e) Minimum of three years of experience in domestic and sexual violence associated organizations.
f) Proficient with computer systems required, including Microsoft Office products.
g) Demonstrate understanding of policies and practices that support inclusivity, equity, diversity, and social justice in organizational operations, community relations, and organizational impact.
2. Required Licenses/Clearances:
a) Valid state driver’s license, required insurance, and/or reliable personal transportation.
b) Upon hire, a WSP/FBI background check is required of the new employee and paid by SRDVC.
