The Birthday Party Captain is responsible for running individual birthday parties offered at Spooky Nook Sports. Birthday parties at the Nook can include many different experiences, including climbing, dodgeball, athletic events, arts and crafts, etc. Birthday Party Captain must be able to lead guests through these events in an engaging manor.

Essential Job Functions
- Ensure activities of party are executed in accordance with the details/script of the party agenda given by the Birthday Party Coordinator
- Create a positive and welcoming environment for parents and children
- Ensure the party contact settles any remaining portion of their bill
- Ensure that the party areas are clean and prepared in a timely manner before, during and after a birthday party
- Maintain and monitor a safe and healthy environment for children to play
- Lead and participate in group activities and games
- All other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- Previous experience in recreation, child care, or education
- 18 years of age or older
- Dependable transportation to and from work
- Language skills: Fluent knowledge of the English language; including the ability to read and interpret written information and speak and understand verbal communication
- Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the position with any reasonable accommodations as necessary
- Availability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
- Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification
- Prior experience working with children and/or in coordinating/planning/executing birthday parties is a plus
- Highly dependable with a history of consistent attendance and punctuality

Working Conditions
- Work environment: Upbeat, high-energy sports and event complex with heavy foot traffic and frequent large crowds.
- Physical requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to perform physical activity that includes moving about the work area, standing, sitting, bending, reaching with hands and arms, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing and smelling. The team member will be frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. He or she is required to have the visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- Lifting requirements: The team member will be required to lift, push, pull, lower and/or move up to 10 lbs regularly, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Noise Level: The noise level in this environment is typically moderate to loud.
