The Materials Management Clerk is responsible for clerical tasks, inventory control, ordering, receiving, stocking, and assisting with the delivery of materials and supplies. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Demonstrate proficiency typing, 10-key keyboard/calculator for data entry and record-keeping.
- Compose accurate business correspondence related to purchasing.
- Maintain organized filing systems for purchasing and inventory documentation.
- Assist with ordering, stocking & rotating merchandise stock items as needed.
- Review expired products and remove them from the shelves as needed.
- Match packing slips with delivered products and ensure the accuracy of items received.
- Enter inventory data (e.g., lot/serial numbers, expiration dates) into the system.
- Identify chargeable items to be delivered to patient care areas.
- Fill and deliver requisitions from each department as requested.
- Use Microsoft Dynamics GP for creating and editing purchase orders and processing invoices.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with staff, patients, and suppliers.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure efficient inventory and supply management.
- Follow safety protocols and report any safety hazards or concerns.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and other compliance standards.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Other: Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, stocking (up to 50 pounds).
