Our outpatient physical therapy clinic is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless patient experiences and efficient clinic operations.
Job Summary:
As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. Your responsibilities will include managing patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, verifying medical benefits, taking payments, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Duties:
- Greet and assist patients both in-person and over the phone
- Schedule patient's initial appointment and follow-up
- Checking patient's in for their appointment and taking payments if needed
- Assisting billing and collection manager as needed
- Light cleaning duties and laundry
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior work in a physical therapy office strongly preferred
- Prior scheduling in a medical office preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements (willing to train)
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Detail-oriented approach to maintaining accurate patient records
