This is a full-time position that will directly report to the Manager, Competitions.

Sporting KC Youth Soccer is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with effective communication skills and knowledge of the youth soccer landscape for the position of Leagues Manager. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the MLS NEXT New Tier of Competition – Heartland Conference and the Sporting Development League (SDL). This is a full-time position that will directly report to the Manager, Competitions.
Job Description
Essential Functions
- Manage all day-to-day aspects of the MLS NEXT – Heartland Conference and SDL.
- Establish relationships with key club stakeholders from both leagues.
- Primary point of contact for member clubs in both leagues.
- Develop both leagues competition schedule and calendar of events.
- Conduct MLS NEXT – Heartland Conference and SDL meetings with member clubs.
- Administer and enforce polices established by MLS NEXT and SDL.
- Represent the conference on MLS NEXT league meetings.
- Develop and execute both leagues marketing and communication strategies.
- Lead organizer for the MLS NEXT New Tier of Competition Regional Tournament.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communications, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.

- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience managing youth sports leagues.
- General understanding of the Midwest youth soccer landscape and youth clubs.
- Awareness of youth league trends and developments.
- Experience managing and administering youth sport events.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Calendar.
