RECEIVING SUPERVISOR

Job Type: Regular, Full-time

Location: Mebane, NC

Shift: 2nd, 4:00p - 12:00a (occasional weekends)

NOTE: THIS IS AN INTERNAL HIRE POSITION

Job Purpose

The Receiving Supervisor will be responsible for coaching and motivating a team that is responsible for all the tasks involved with the smooth, accurate and time efficient daily operations of the Receiving area. Responsibilities include receiving, Stockmove and Restock distribution, as well as OST putaway, with an eye on efficient product inventory movement. The Supervisor will work closely with other operations leaders to meet and exceed organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

Major Accountabilities / Essential Duties

• Foster an effective team environment by providing leadership to build a strong team accountable for meeting set objectives.
• Set expectations, develop, and coach staff, and monitor performance results across all areas.
• Use data and reporting to build/position team members to maximize productivity
• Supervise and coordinate unloading and staging of inbound shipments. Ensure proper disposition of all inbound shipments into SEI from dock to shelf, with a quick turnaround time while focusing on safety, organization, and cleanliness.
• Oversee all movements to OST as well as outbound movements to the CFC. Reconcile all inventory discrepancies
• Monitor, measure and analyze inventory accounts and inventory activity to identify, document and report trends, irregularities or unusual activity resulting from system, operating or financial processes.
• Develop on-going relationship with the Merchandising group to ensure smooth overall operations.
• Develop on-going relationships with shipping, restock, inventory control, etc. to support all necessary operations to provide an optimal customer experience.
• Objectively consider objectives of the area and devise plans to bring about positive change.
  
  

Requirements

• Solid leadership, coaching and supervisory work experience in a receiving environment.
• Background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving, routing, packing, inventory control required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
• Proficient in MS office, Excel and experience with general warehouse computer software systems required; SAP experience a plus.
• Must be proficient in English. Must be able to read, speak and write in English.
