Purpose of Position:
- To create product descriptions and written, graphic, and video content for content marketing; merchandise the website; and perform supporting content functions, as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Web Content
- Create original product descriptions, for assigned categories, in accordance with guidelines.
- Obtain and record technical product details, specifications, and measurements.
- Merchandise the website through category and portal page functions.
- Maintain running product information, including categories, images, and how they are displayed.
- Coordinate and assist with product information transfer and creation for RWAU and RWEU as directed.
- Participate in making videos for placement on the website, including planning and development, writing scripts, and performing on-camera, as assigned
- Create written content articles that align with the web content strategy.
- Coordinate images and graphics for use on the website and social media platforms.
- Coordinate or upload content to the website, including but not limited to content and review builders.
- Contribute to and follow workflow platforms, such as Asana and Microsoft Teams.
- Edit written work and provide feedback during the development of images, graphics and videos.
Secondary Content Tasks (as assigned)
- Maintain customer review publication.
- Coordinate or facilitate the distribution of prizes for drawings and giveaways.
- Coordinate or facilitate the receiving and shipping of product samples for uses such as description writing, website or social imagery, and product testing.
- Run in various products for testing and reviews.
- Incorporate a “who is the customer for this product” point of view and determine if product aligns with the intended audience. If not, what audience is it suited for.
- Assist with creating product files in point of sale platform, as needed.
Content Strategy
- Align work with the established web content strategy.
- Contribute to development and refinement of the content strategy.
- Provide feedback on the success of current endeavors,
- Contribute new ideas.
- Research best-practices for content, its creation and application.
- Be aware of new developments within content marketing and communicate with the team.
Product Knowledge
- Gain and maintain a thorough understanding of running products and manufacturers.
- Be able to communicate functions, features, and benefits of products in written, graphic, and video formats.
- Attend vendor sell-in meetings and training sessions when necessary to learn about new products, as assigned.
- Lead new product or product category training, as assigned.

Work Environment - This position operates in a fast-paced professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, tablets and telephones. This position may require on-camera assignments which involve recording the employee with photography/videography equipment. The role may require travel via vehicle to off-site shooting locations. The employee may need to test a variety of products such as, but not limited to, shoes and clothing.
Physical Demands - The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
- Regularly required to handle objects, type on a computer, use tablets and phones and computer software.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

- Frequently required to sit in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time, in addition to occasionally moving about inside the building.
- Occasionally required to stoop, bend, twist, reach, kneel, crouch or climb.
- Must regularly lift and/or move objects that weigh less than ten pounds, occasionally lift and/or move items that weigh between 10 – 20 pounds and rarely lift and/or move items that weigh between 20 - 50 pounds.
- Ability to test running equipment which may include running in the product over smooth and uneven surfaces.
