What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter (2nd Shift) position at Sportsfield Specialties?
SSI is seeking a hands-on Painter for the 2nd shift at the NY2 location who can work independently and/or with others as a production team member with good analytical skills. Candidate must be reliable and flexible with assigned schedule.
Responsibilities/Duties include but not limited to:
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with the required procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain and operate powder coat equipment and spray booth as needed.
- Enter accurate data into production ERP system.
- Sand, polish, wash, dry and apply powder coat to products specifications.
- Operate ovens and measure/monitor temperatures per product specifications.
- Operate lift trucks and overhead cranes to move paint carts and supplies.
- Maintain proper respirator care/operation.
- Weigh paint for accurate costing.
- Become efficient with painting techniques to meet quality and efficiency needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Skills:
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task in a busy environment, manage your time and be self-motivated.
- Ability to complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to use and operate power tools, ladders, and warehouse equipment safely.
Experience/Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Hours: Monday – Thursday: 2:30pm to 1:00am.
The starting pay indicated represents the minimum pay for the position. The starting pay may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity. The posted starting pay reflects just one component of our total benefit/rewards package.
