What are the responsibilities and job description for the CHECK-IN position at SportsMED Orthopaedic Specialist, INC?
SportsMED Orthopaedic Surgery & Spine Center is seeking a Check-in Receptionist to join the front desk team at our Huntsville practice location. We are looking to make an immediate hire.
Qualified applicants will possess:
- a high school diploma or GED
- at least 2 years of medical practice experience in a clerical, patient-facing role
- a demonstrable understanding of health insurance
- experience reading patient accounts on an EMR and understanding how to determine patient financial responsibility
- experience collecting money from patients at time of service
Ideal applicants will possess all of the above, but 3 years of experience in a medical office setting.
