What are the responsibilities and job description for the CHECK-IN position at SportsMED Orthopaedic Specialists?
SportsMED is seeking a full-time Patient Access Representatives to join the front desk team at our Madison location. The role has a schedule working Monday-Friday, roughly 8a-5p. We are looking to make an immediate hire.
Qualified applicants will possess:
- a high school diploma or GED
- at least 2 years of medical practice experience in a clerical, patient-facing role
- a demonstrable understanding of health insurance
- experience reading patient accounts on an EMR and understanding how to determine patient financial responsibility
- experience collecting money from patients at time of service
Ideal applicants will possess all of the above, but 3 years of experience in a medical office setting.
