As a Physical Therapy Technician you will support the Physical Therapy team in delivering exceptional patient care. Your primary responsibilities include assisting patients with therapeutic exercises, preparing and maintaining therapy equipment, ensuring treatment areas are clean and well-organized, and providing administrative support when needed. Your role is essential in creating a positive and supportive environment, ensuring that patients receive support during their recovery process. The PT Tech is a key team member in facilitating smooth clinic operations and delivering high-quality care.
Bilingual would be a bonus.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with exercises, ensuring correct technique and safety during therapy sessions
- Provide assistance for post operative patients in collaboration with the orthopedic clinic
- Support Physical Therapist and Physical Therapy Assistant in delivering treatments
- Prepare and maintain treatment area and therapy equipment, ensuring everything is clean and ready for use
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Offer compassionate patient care and ensure patients feel comfortable and informed during treatment
Qualifications and Skills:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in patient care, physical therapy, or healthcare-related fields preferred
- Familiarity with anatomy, exercise techniques, and movement mechanics is highly preferred
Skills and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and the therapy team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Understanding of insurance policies and patient care protocols in a therapy setting
