The Learning and Development Manager is a key contributor to helping Spot achieve our strategic initiatives by fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. This role will lead and be accountable for the design, delivery, and measured outcomes of core learning programs focused on onboarding, technology proficiency, and manager development. This individual will collaborate with subject matter experts, leaders, and employees across the organization to ensure impactful and engaging learning experiences that align with our company values and strategic objectives.

This individual will collaborate with subject matter experts, leaders, and employees across the organization to ensure impactful and engaging learning experiences that align with our company values and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Onboarding Training: Design, implement, and continuously improve the onboarding program to ensure new hires are effectively integrated, understand our culture, and have the foundational knowledge and skills to succeed.
- Technology Training: Develop and deliver training programs focused on the effective utilization of company-specific technologies, tools, and systems. This includes ensuring employees have the necessary skills to leverage technology for optimal performance.
- Manager Development Training: Design and facilitate leadership development programs to equip managers with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively lead, coach, and develop their teams.
- Program Design and Delivery: Lead the design and delivery of engaging and effective learning and development programs across various formats (e.g., in-person, virtual, self-paced).
- Content Creation: Develop and maintain high-quality training materials, including presentations, guides, and online resources.
- Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across the organization, including leadership, IT, HR, and other departments, to identify learning needs and ensure alignment of training initiatives.
- Needs Analysis and Recommendations: Conduct learning needs assessments and provide data-driven recommendations on training and talent development approaches to senior leaders and executives.
- Facilitation and Coordination: Facilitate training sessions, host leadership development meetings, and coordinate learning events across the company.
- Best Practices and Innovation: Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in learning and development to continuously improve our programs and methodologies.
- Measurement and Evaluation: Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of learning programs and utilize data to drive continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development).
- 3 years of proven experience in Learning and Development, with a strong focus on onboarding, technology training, and/or manager development.
- Experience in the 3PL/brokerage/transportation industry is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering engaging training programs.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills – clear, timely, concise, and meaningful.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Adaptability, multi-tasking ability, and a sense of urgency.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other relevant training technologies is a plus.
- Required to be onsite 5 days a week
- Total compensation will be a combination of an annual base salary and an incentive compensation plan
