Position Overview:
As a Survey Project Manager working with our team in Maywood, NJ, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing survey projects to meet client requirements and deliver high-quality results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land surveying, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee survey projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and communicate these to the surveying team.
- Lead and coordinate survey teams, including Survey Party Chiefs, CAD Technicians, and Technicians, to achieve project goals.
- Monitor and ensure the quality and accuracy of survey data collected in the field.
- Review and approve survey deliverables, including plats, maps, and drawings.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide project updates and address any concerns.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and construction, to ensure seamless project integration.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to surveying team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field; professional surveying license (PLS) in NJ and/or NY is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in land surveying
- Strong understanding of surveying principles, methodologies, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Strong client relationship management skills.
