Fast paced retail company is seeking a qualified AR/AP Specialist. Candidates must have a thorough knowledge of accountants payable and account receivable processes and have the ability to multi-task. A high school diploma is required and an Associates Accounting degree is preferred, with salary DOE. Sprague’s Sports is a shooting sports specialty retailer serving SW AZ since 1956. Truck Mates / Line X of Yuma is our sister company serving Yuma truck owners since 1968. In 2022 Sprague’s became an ESOP (employee owned). Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare Daily Deposit and post to QuickBooks.
Run all A/R Reports from Point of Sale System and post to QuickBooks.
Run Customer monthly statements and reconcile past due accounts.
Accurately review, code and process vendor invoices, both inventory and overhead.
Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies.
Process weekly vendor payments by check, credit card and ACH.
Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
Audit and process credit card purchases activity.
Qualifications and Skills Required
High School Diploma required, AA in Accounting preferred
Proven experience in bookkeeping principles and practices.
Experienced with Microsoft Office programs especially Excel.
Experience with QuickBooks preferred.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Desire and drive to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
