Job Opportunity: Operations Manager
Location: Nampa, Idaho
Spray ‘n Coat Painting was established in 2009 and has grown to be one of the premier painting contractors in Boise, Idaho with a second location in Las Vegas, Nevada. With 30 team members in total, our company has thrived from a relentless focus on service, quality, and teamwork.
Are you a detail-oriented, self-motivated servant leader with a knack for organization and systems creation? We’re seeking an Operations Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of our team, ensuring smooth workflows and exceptional support to our sales and field management teams. As a growing organization, this individual will play a vital role in helping us scale our business by driving system improvements and fostering our culture of service, quality, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Purchasing
- Manage inventory and oversee materials and supplies purchasing, including floor coatings, cabinet painting supplies, and paint for upcoming projects.
Human Resources Management
- Track and manage payroll hours for field employees to ensure accurate reporting.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a seamless integration into the team.
- Handle employee time-off requests and maintain up-to-date records.
- Post and manage hiring ads to support recruitment efforts.
Schedule Management
- Lead and facilitate weekly schedule meetings with project managers to ensure alignment on priorities.
- Update and maintain the scheduling application to reflect current and upcoming projects.
Project Coordination
- Review key project information, including hours allocated for jobs, to ensure accurate planning and execution.
- Maintain and update project management checklist documents to track progress and completion.
- Review work orders for accuracy and completeness, addressing any discrepancies.
Production Oversight
- Coordinate closely with the field team and project managers to streamline production workflows.
- Provide accurate and updated production data to the bookkeeping team to support financial reporting.
Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills
- Candidates must have excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all tasks.
- The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems is essential for success in this role.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets and other spreadsheet tools is required to manage and analyze data effectively.
- A strong foundation in basic accounting is necessary to handle payroll and purchasing tasks.
- Self-motivation is critical, as the ideal candidate should be able to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong systems creation and organizational skills are needed to develop and maintain efficient workflows.
- The ability to work collaboratively and contribute as a team player is vital to supporting the organization’s culture of teamwork and service excellence.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience with job scheduling is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with payroll software is preferred to streamline HR-related processes.
- Experience in purchasing or procurement is beneficial for managing inventory and materials.
- A solid background in working with spreadsheets is required for data tracking and reporting.
- Experience in operations, production, or office management is preferred to ensure smooth coordination and oversight of daily tasks.
Education
- A degree or relevant coursework in Business, Human Resources, Operations, or Project Management is preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered.
