Responsibilities
- Responsible for the efficient and quality operation of the Sprecher Brewing Co. assembly lines and supporting equipment.
- Maintain a positive, efficient, and safe work environment.
- Troubleshoot equipment and system issues in real-time as required.
- Change-over machinery to the corresponding product and verify function.
- Flexibility to float between multiple areas of the production lines at a time if needed.
- Provide hands-on support with solving daily production issues as well as supporting continuous improvement processes with recommending solutions to address capacity, cost and quality.
- Must follow company policies and safety standards including GMP and SQF as applicable.
- Work in a safe manner and comply with all health, safety, security and emergency requirements.
- Works with the management team to identify and resolve any conditions potentially affecting food safety or quality.
- Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and any/all established processes, whether established by a manager, by the company or by law.
- Monitor quality of liquid, packaging, production from start to finish.
- Ensure that the machinery is working properly, set machines before usage, and assure continuous functionality of the equipment.
- Communicate issues with managers and maintenance team
- Ensure all line activity is done according to SOPs regarding yield, fill-height, dissolved oxygen levels, seaming standards, and material loss.
- Ensure regular maintenance and preventative maintenance of mechanical equipment and assist line mechanics in machinery repair or other tasks as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the equipment and surroundings in line with company established systems.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Some experience, preferably in a food or beverage manufacturing facility or similar manufacturing environment. Special consideration for experience in a bottling/canning manufacturing facility.
- Preference given to candidates with mechanical experience, including proficiency in diagnosing and operating machinery.
- Comfortable learning new equipment and mechanical systems and troubleshooting under pressure.
- Experienced in the operation of a forklift a plus.
- Good understanding of food safety, workplace safety, and food quality standards.
- Ability to perform the physical job demands.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Team player able to work well with others and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Excellent attendance and performance track record.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, while focusing on meeting or exceeding expectations.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time on concrete floors and ability to continuously be active including but not limited to: walking, stooping, bending, reaching and crouching
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally 75 lbs.
- Ability to work in variable temperatures.
