The Human Resources Director is responsible for providing overall human resources generalist support for the facility, which includes payroll, recruiting for vacant positions, facilitating general employee orientations, maintaining all personnel records and files, facilitating employee benefits enrollment, providing guidance and support to supervisors with respect to employee performance management; responding to unemployment compensation correspondence, workers comp and organizing all facility/community and employee activities and in-services.
Job responsibilities of the Human Resources Director include but are not limited to the following:
· Maintain company compliance with local, state, and federal laws, in addition to established organizational standards.
· Direct each phase of the hiring process; employment verification, criminal background checks, and onboarding.
· Collaborate on hiring and training of new employees, professional growth of staff and team building and motivation.
· Maintain optimal staffing levels by tracking vacancies and initiating recruitment and interview processes to identify qualified candidates.
· Post positions through approved recruitment channels.
· Design employee engagement strategies to improve morale, retain talent and maintain business continuity.
· Lead and conduct employee relations, including investigations and resolve employee conflict.
· Provide day-to-day HR guidance to supervisors/managers; including policy review, coaching, corrective action, disciplinary actions, performance reviews, and separations.
· Maintain an “open door” policy to encourage employee communications.
· Review and approve time sheets and payroll related submissions for all employees.
· Manage employee benefits; open enrolment and online enrolment.
· Maintain FMLA, BWC, OSHA records/logs/reporting.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field. Current SPHR/PHR certification preferred.
Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience working in Human Resources.
Healthcare background preferred.
Must have previous Supervisory or Director-Level experience.
