The Infection Preventionist and Staff Development Nurse is responsible for understanding the organization’s staffing and educational needs. Infection Preventionist provides news, updates, and guidance on Infection Prevention, to include cleaning, disinfection, antibiotic stewardship, hand hygiene, isolation precautions, outbreak control for residents and employees. This role will also conduct onboarding and planning, as well as delivering in-house education and orientation.
Qualifications
- Degree in Nursing
- Current state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.
- Two years of relevant nursing experience required.
- To obtain CMS IC Certificate within 1 month of hire.
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications.
- Must be able to safely and successfully perform job-related functions, with or without reasonable accommodation required by federal, state, or local law.
