What are the responsibilities and job description for the Education Services Specialist position at Spring Education Group?
The Education Services Specialist at Laurel Springs School is a full-time, remote position and a member of the Education Services Team. The Education Services Team provides logistic support for the Education Department, including but not limited to vendor and materials management, teacher assignments and billing support, budget management, administrative support for school leadership, data collection and analysis, and other similar functions. The Education Services Team is also responsible for compliance research and analysis of state education requirements in support of all LSS teams and functions. The Education Services Specialist focuses primarily on the day-to-day components of this work as directed by the Education Services Manager.
Primary Job Responsibilities are included, but are not limited to:
Support teacher, course, and counselor assigning in the Genius SIS system
Support course changes and teacher transfer requests
Assist in adding and managing courses in Genius SIS
Monitor, upload, and confirm student enrollments with vendor programs
Organize and track vendor accounts and invoice processing
Engage in on-demand troubleshooting with regard to vendor and LSS enrollments
Support fulfillment orders and shipments (e.g. workbooks and lab kits)
Engage in regular data entry and system report management
Coordinate staff travel arrangements for conferences and in-person events
Support compliance projects, including research of state education requirements and maintenance of compliance database
Communicate proactively and responsively with students, parents, counselors, staff, and administrators via email, phone, video conference, and any other communication tools provided by LSS.
Participate as directed in school-wide events, school-sponsored student activities, and internal meetings.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding staff, students, families, and LSS operations and systems.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to be highly organized, efficient, and productive.
Ability to be highly responsive and seek creative solutions.
Excellent skills with word processing, productivity, communication, and educational technology tools, especially high-functioning capability with Excel and Google Sheets.
Experience with Learning Management Systems and Student Information Systems is strongly preferred.
Experience with legal research is strongly preferred.
Access to high-quality internet and a quiet workspace that allows the individual to be fully present and available to students, parents, and colleagues as needed during work hours.
Ability to travel to attend in-person events, meetings, and training at least once or twice per year.
Salary : $55,000
