About the RoleSagemont Preparatory School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced English Teacher to join our collaborative team in supporting our high school students for the 2025-2026 School Year. As an English Teacher, you will guide students through engaging and innovative lessons. You will be responsible for creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that fosters academic growth and personal responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and teach English courses
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary approaches to instruction.
Maintain an orderly, engaging classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
Employ positive classroom management techniques, encouraging student responsibility.
Regularly monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance.
Mentor students, promoting academic achievement and personal development.
Foster strong relationships with parents, proactively engaging them in their child’s education.
Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the middle or high school level.
Strong ability to present English concepts with clarity and confidence.
Commitment to building supportive relationships with students both in and beyond the classroom.
Ability to pass both state and federal background check
