NOTE: This is a full-time, permanent, on-site position in Downtown Vancouver.
There is a hybrid option after 3 months of employment* (4 days in-office, 1 day WFH), after 1 year of employment* (3 days in-office, 2 days WFH)
As a Business Analyst for Bloom - Financial Assistant mobile app, you will be instrumental in working alongside cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, product development, engineering, and data analytics. Your role will involve not only gathering and analyzing business requirements but also ensuring that these requirements translate into user-friendly interfaces that engage and satisfy our users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering:
- Engage closely with UI/UX designers to understand user needs and expectations.
- Conduct interviews, surveys, and user testing sessions to gather comprehensive business and user-interface requirements.
- Translate complex business needs into detailed functional, technical, and UI requirements.
- Business Process and User Experience Analysis:
- Map and analyze current business processes with a focus on user interaction and experience.
- Identify inefficiencies and areas for UI enhancement.
- Develop process models and workflow diagrams that include user journey maps for current and future state processes.
- Documentation:
- Produce detailed documentation that includes business requirements documents (BRDs), product requirements documents (PRDs), functional specifications, use cases, user stories, process flows, and UI design specifications.
- Keep documentation accurate and current throughout the project lifecycle, emphasizing changes in UI design and functionality.
- UI/UX Design Collaboration:
- Collaborate with UI/UX design teams to ensure that business solutions are visually appealing and user-friendly.
- Participate in design reviews and ensure UI consistency with business goals and user needs.
- Assist in creating mockups and prototypes as part of the requirements and design process.
- Testing and Validation:
- Oversee the creation of detailed test plans that include UI specific scenarios.
- Coordinate and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) focusing on usability and adherence to UI requirements.
- Facilitate UAT sessions with stakeholders, focusing on user experience and interface functionality.
- Training and Support:
- Develop training materials that include user interface guides and tutorials.
- Conduct training sessions that are focused on helping end-users navigate new interfaces effectively.
What You Should Already Have:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the fintech sector, with significant exposure to UI/UX design.
- Strong analytical skills paired with a keen eye for user-friendly design and attention to detail.
- Experience with UI/UX design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar.
- Proficiency in AGILE methodologies, with experience using tools like Jira and Confluence.
