SUMMARY OF POSITION
Responsible for repairing and installing production/manufacturing equipment. Inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance when required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform preventative maintenance on more advanced production/packaging equipment.
2. Perform repairs on more advanced production/packaging equipment.
3. Perform breakdown analysis.
4. Assist in upgrading production lines with new/upgraded equipment technology.
5. Change line(s) for package changeovers.
6. Enforce GMP, safety, and audit standards.
7. Work independently with limited supervision.
8. Ensure work area is clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
9. Adhere to common safety practices and procedures including the wearing of protective equipment as required.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
While the duties above generally describe the job content, not all duties are performed continually or regularly (i.e., daily, weekly, etc.). Duties performed are dependent upon the operation being supported.

- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with basic electrical systems (starters, fuses, contacts, relays)
- Experience with electrical systems (installation, frequency drive, troubleshooting)
- Experience with product manuals (reading and applying knowledge to make repairs)
- Experience with schematics (electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, relays)
- Experience with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns
- Experience with troubleshooting (diagnostics, problem solving, etc.)
- Experience with reading mechanical drawings (hydraulics, pneumatics)
- Experience with compressors/ammonia systems
- Experienced with PLC’s
- Experience with pumps
- Experience with packaging
