What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audio Visual Support Personnel (Event Staff) position at Spring Grove Area School District?
- Assist in the audio, video, and/or lighting for District events scheduled in the evenings and weekends.
- Setup and test before the events start.
- Attend and provide immediate support for productions.
- Maintain equipment and make recommendations when equipment needs to be replaced.
- Be able to train staff to use audio-visual equipment. Document commonly used processes as-needed.
- Must be able to work independently, as well as cooperatively with staff, students, and the general public, within the limits of assigned responsibilities at various sites in the District.
- Uses audio/visual equipment.
- May use personal computers and related equipment.
- Travel to school district locations.
- Knowledge of audio/visual equipment, installation, troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of end-users.
- Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.
- Ability to report work orally and/or in writing to supervisor.
- Ability to establish and, maintain cooperative working relationship with, staff and others contacted in the course of work.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- Work in standard office and school building environments.
- Paid based on number of hours worked for each event worked.
- High School diploma.
- Related college or technical school coursework or technical training.
- Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
- Successful related experience in audio/visual maintenance.
- Receipt of current, favorable clearances including: Pennsylvania State Criminal History (Act 34), Federal Criminal History (FBI – Fingerprinting - Act 114), Pennsylvania Child Abuse (Act 151), and Sexual Misconduct and Abuse Disclosures (Act 168).
