Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of facilities and equipment through routine maintenance and repairs. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Maintenance Person will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Duties
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance on facilities and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using various tools and techniques.
- Utilize logic controllers for monitoring and controlling equipment functions.
- Fabricate parts as needed to replace worn or damaged components.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Supervise and coordinate with other maintenance staff or contractors as necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management.
- Use an Ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to assess electrical systems and troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems.
- Familiarity with logic controllers, CMMS, and basic electrical troubleshooting is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Previous experience supervising maintenance staff is a plus.
- A customer-oriented mindset with the ability to address concerns effectively.
