Culinary Services Director – Join the Spring Oak Family in Lexington, SC!

Spring Oak Senior Living in Lexington, SC is seeking a Culinary Services Director for our Assisted Living community. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the food service department, including food production and service, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines while maintaining or exceeding hospitality and service standards.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise a diverse team of associates in the food service department.
• Oversee food production and distribution to ensure it meets or exceeds hospitality and service standards.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping (e.g., temperature logs, production sheets) is completed by cooks and dishwashers.
• Monitor staff to ensure compliance with universal precautions and infection control guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of sanitation and safety principles in food and equipment handling.
• Ensure food service regulations specific to Assisted Living facilities are followed.
• Provide food services that meet or exceed hospitality standards for the elderly residents.

Qualifications:

• At least 1-5 years of cooking and management experience in a nursing home or assisted living setting.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise a diverse team.
• Knowledge of food service regulations and best practices for Assisted Living facilities.
• Ability to maintain high standards of food quality, sanitation, and safety.
