Job Description
OVERVIEW
The SVG Finance team is growing and we want you to be a part of it! We are currently hiring for a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key part of our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. If you are passionate, driven, and looking to grow you career in strategic finance this is the role for you.
This person will work a flex/hybrid schedule in our KC location.
Key responsibilities will include data analysis, financial forecasting, financial modeling, and financial reporting, with a focus on Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) that drive SVG’s financial outlook. Additionally, you’ll work with the variable compensation team; assisting in annual compensation plan design and improving monthly processes. You will also be able and willing to handle other ad-hoc requests directed to the FP&A team, with the ability to own and develop analyses from beginning to end independently.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related degree program OR relevant work or military experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in FP&A or Business Intelligence/Analytics, including financial forecasting and financial modeling, academic experience included.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required, including advanced modeling ability
- Exposure to relational databases required, SQL preferred
- Understanding of business problem solving
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work onsite as needed in our KC location
