Job Description
This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday from 6:30am-3:00pm. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team providing advanced quality care and service in a state-of-the-art facility with 75 beds.

Responsibilities
- Celebrate the nursing process to provide direct and indirect patient care in a cost-efficient manner.
- Coordinate with physicians, nurse managers, nursing personnel, and other departments to ensure quality patient care and maintain excellence in guest relations.
- Provide excellent customer service and ease of referral for outside facilities.
- Demonstrate effective leadership skills to coordinate activities of the unit.
- Maintain appropriate staffing on the unit.
Patient Care
The Intake RN uses their expertise to:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including meeting with patients/families/doctors in ER and seeing patients on the med surg floor for consultations.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Verify insurance and obtain prior authorizations for admission.
- Call doctors for admission orders.
- Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- An Associate's degree in nursing required.
- A Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- A current RN license in the state of Kentucky.
