Travel Cath Lab Technologist Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team for a 13-week travel assignment in Lexington, Kentucky. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced cath lab environment and be proficient in operating various medical equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain cath lab equipment, including angiographic imaging systems and other specialized tools.
- Prepare patients for procedures by conducting pre-procedure assessments and positioning patients on the exam table.
- Collaborate with interventional radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any complications that may arise during treatment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Current certification as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CVIS) or Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT(R)).
- At least one year of experience working in a cath lab setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including 12-hour days.
