Springdale Preparatory School seeks a Director of Auxiliary Programs to oversee a dynamic 8-week summer dual diploma program catering to 150 international students.
Springdale Preparatory School is a co-educational multicultural collegiate boarding and day school located on a sprawling 51-acre campus in New Windsor, Maryland for students in grades 6th through 12th. Your responsibilities will include managing all aspects of the educational courses, such as English grammar and literature, US Government, US history, and Health. Additionally, you will work closely with the admissions office, student activities, and other departments to curate impactful educational outings and experiential learning opportunities to enhance the students' overall experience. Coordination of transportation for events and field trips will be essential to ensure seamless logistics. You will also play a role in hiring part-time temporary summer teachers to support the educational curriculum.
This position also is resposible for supporting the organizational needs of a short term (two week) international overnight summer program, including hiring personnel and coordination of various camp activities.
The position requires strong organizational skills, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for creating enriching academic experiences for international students. Successful candidates will possess a background in education administration or a related field, with experience in program management and event planning. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities are crucial for building relationships with students, faculty, and staff. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment will be key to thriving in this role.
This is a full-time, 12-months, exempt position. Campus housing is available.
