Who We Are:
The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seeking a STNA Instructor to acts as a liaison and primary contact between Springfield City School District and clinical sites and schedules clinical experiences as well as in-class training? within the school setting for the 2025-2026 school year. We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state of the art buildings in west-central Ohio. As a STNA Instructor you are required to:
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree
- Technology skills to maintain medical records
- Registered Nurse with a current valid license in the state of Ohio to practice nursing is preferred. The license should be issued under Chapter 4723 of the Revised Code that is not inactive, suspended, revoked, or subject to restrictions, and for which the individual continues to meet all the requirements for issuance
- Work experience: Minimum 2 years of work experience in the practice of nursing as a RN, with at least one of these years being in a long-term care setting or in a setting where care was given to the elderly or chronically ill (Please note that 1 year is defined as having worked in the setting for a minimum of 1,600 actual clock hours of work experience within one calendar year)
- Successful completion of an approved Train the Trainer program I.W.A OAC 3701-18
- Holds or willing to obtain a valid Train the Trainer Certification from the Ohio Department of Health
- Meets the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators qualifications
- Meets all mandated health screening requirements
- Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment. Able to successfully pass a BCI/FBI background check
- Maintains compliance with drug free workplace rules, Board policies and other applicable procedures/guideline
As a STNA Instructor you will:
- Deliver instruction for the state tested nursing assistant program and other courses within the healthcare pathway
- Establish and supervise student clinical placements with locally identified partners
- Ensure program instruction and curriculum meets state guidelines and prepares students for state assessments
- Review all skill tests within the program and ensure the appropriate laboratory equipment is available
- Monitor students to ensure successful completion of the program
- Performs other duties as assigned
What We Offer:
As a contracted employee, STNA Instructors work 183 days per year and 7.25 hours per day.
Starting salary is $43,816.00 with increases for additional education and experience also includes an additional stipend.
