GENERAL PURPOSE
The position is responsible for supporting district efforts related to data analysis, data visualization, and data use. This position has a specific focus on developing and coordinating systems that maintain, develop, and support district wide data reporting and analytics that align to the district's strategic goals and ongoing initiatives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Oversees visualization of data and data reporting to support district initiatives and collaborates to ensure the accuracy and availability of these tools to support a quality experience for the end user.
- Oversees and coordinates data analysis and reporting efforts to support district wide initiatives.
- Assists with the ongoing implementation of district software including best practices related to data reporting tools, databases, and data systems ensuring high availability and performance of district data.
- Develops, designs, and tests the data warehouse and all related extraction, transformation, and loads (ETL) of the data functions to ensure complete and accurate data is updated into the district data warehouse.
- Coordinates and supervises data management processes to ensure timely extraction, transformation, and loads (ETL) of the data functions to ensure complete and accurate data is updated into the district data warehouse.
- Collaborates and advises the team on data warehouse function and design.
- Troubleshoots reporting systems, system applications and the supporting software identifying and correcting malfunctions and other operational issues.
- Oversees and coordinates the monitoring of student counts and related attributes by building and program, ensuring that counts are accurate, related trends are generated, variances are communicated, policies and procedures are followed.
- Collaborates with a variety of internal stakeholders to align district data analysis and visualization efforts with district priorities and to meet evolving needs.
- Collaborates with the Data Engineer and Data Analyst to lead data projects, ensure data flows efficiently and continuously to other databases and analytics tools, and to create and optimize data pipelines, ETL, and strategic SQL queries.
- Fulfills data requests as assigned.
- Learn new software and reporting tools quickly and with initiative.
- Responds to inquiries from a variety of District personnel for providing support and technical advice regarding

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university, required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of job-related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is preferred.
Certificates, Licenses and Other Special Requirements
- Certification / training or relevant experience in Excel, SQL, Python, and PowerBI preferred.
- Training or relevant experience with data warehouses, including using extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) to regularly update and maintain the warehouse function.
- Must pass a Criminal Background Clearance, the results of which must be satisfactory to the District, required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of basic math, including calculations using fractions, percentages, and/or ratios.
- Knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Studio (SSIS), Python, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and general knowledge of Cognos Business Intelligence.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Work environment is primarily inside, where the noise and temperature levels are moderate.
- The work is light work that requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.
- Must possess the physical ability to perceive the nature of sounds, make rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processes, express or exchange ideas by the spoken word, substantial movements (motions) with the hands, wrists, and/or fingers, and discern letters or numbers at a given distance.

Salary : $72,751 - $105,488
