Job Description
The Springfield School District is seeking an experienced administrator to lead the coordination of a comprehensive PreK-12 educational program for approximately 1200 students and 125 teachers. There are four schools: Elm Hill Primary School ; Union Street Elementary School; Riverside Middle School, and Springfield High School, which is co-located with the Technical Center that is its own district. The Springfield Community
The Town of Springfield has a population of 9,062 based on the 2020 Census. It is located within Windsor County in southeastern Vermont and is bordered by the Towns of Weathersfield, Chester, Rockingham, and Charlestown, NH, with its eastern boundary along the Connecticut River. It has local access to Interstate 91 and State highways including US Route 5, VT Routes 10, 11, and 106, which connect with large population areas outside the Town. Qualifications
We are seeking an experienced PreK-12 visionary leader and student-centered strategic thinker, who is current on educational trends, but also data-driven and evidence-based in decision-making. Our next superintendent will be
- an accomplished financial manager.
- an ambassador for Springfield schools.
- Licensed in Vermont or eligible.
- Advanced degree in administrative studies or education.
- Administrative and teaching experience.
