Shifts Available:
- 2nd Shift: 2 PM – 10 PM
- 3rd Shift: 10 PM – 6 AM
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Digital Press Operator to join our team and operate an HP Indigo label press (HP Indigo 6K). This role requires a proactive individual with technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Press Operation: Set up and operate the HP Indigo 6K label press according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and control riders.
- Quality Monitoring: Actively monitor production efficiency and quality, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve equipment and setup issues. Perform required testing and implement corrective actions to meet quality standards.
- Communication & Coordination: Identify and address potential issues in a timely manner, effectively communicating with downstream operators to minimize remakes.
- Maintenance: Perform cleanup and routine maintenance tasks following company SOPs.
- Productivity: Sustain a high level of productivity by meeting setup time and run speed expectations established by department leads.
Qualifications & Success FactorsRequired:
- Experience:
- 2 years of experience in digital press operation or similar technical machinery roles.
- Familiarity with basic Quality systems and documentation.
- Skills:
- Strong math and ruler skills, including conversions between metric and imperial units.
- Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and accommodate changes.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving technical issues.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity for computer work and the ability to concentrate for long periods.
Preferred:
- Experience with HP Indigo digital press systems.
- Technical certifications or continuing education in machinery operation or printing technology.
