Position Overview:
The Legal Manager will be responsible for overseeing compliance and legal operations for the company’s overseas headquarters and U.S. subsidiaries. This role requires expertise in corporate legal compliance, contract management, labor law, product liability, and regulatory matters, ensuring that all business activities adhere to U.S. laws and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing and implementing compliance systems for U.S. subsidiaries, covering business registration, licensing, labor, and capital management.
- Provide daily legal advisory to support business operations and ensure compliance with U.S. regulations and industry standards.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with customers, suppliers, and partners to ensure clarity, fairness, and enforceability.
- Advise the human resources department on labor law matters, including contracts, disputes, dismissals, and work-related injuries.
- Liaise with external legal counsel to interpret legal opinions and ensure practical implementation within the company.
- Act as the company’s legal representative when dealing with government agencies or external institutions to protect business interests.
Qualifications:
- LLM or JD from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Illinois or another U.S. state (Bar admission required).
