Reports To: Health Services Lead, Health Services Coordinator and Guest Services Manager
The Health Specialist is responsible to assist the Health Services Lead in the day-to-day operations of Health Services caring for the needs of campers and staff. The Health Services Specialist is responsible for communication with parents of campers as needed.
Key Job Functions
- Assist with daily organization and distribution of camper medications.
- Responsible to care for and effectively problem-solve camper and staff health and physical needs.
- Reach out and inform parents regarding to camper health concerns when deemed necessary and appropriate.
- Assist camp volunteer medical professionals with daily tasks.
- Ability to be available for on-call rotation to respond to staff and camper emergencies.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Health Services Lead, Health Services Coordinator and Guest Services Manager.
Secondary Job Functions
- Participate in a variety of guest group specific tasks and responsibilities to facilitate the SpringHill Experience for guest groups during the summer.
- Participate in a variety of tasks and responsibilities to facilitate the SpringHill Experience for families during the summer.
- Commitment to the mission and ministry philosophy of SpringHill.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Degree in related field preferred.
- Prior medical and/or health services experience preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, bend, and twist.
- Ability to push and pull loads.
- Must be able to lift frequently up to 35 lbs.; occasionally 35-100 lbs. with assistance.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
