Classification: Full-Time Summer Seasonal Job
Location: Michigan Overnight property (MION)
Reports To: MION Guest Services Manager
The Guest Services Assistant Site Leader is responsible to play a key role in supporting Summer Leaders and Campers. The Guest Services Assistant Site Leader strives to accommodate the needs of Summer Leaders and Campers at the assigned property.
Key Job Functions
- Meet logistical needs of individuals at property in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Key point person for guests at the property.
- Active participation and assigned responsibilities during opening and closing day.
- Support Assistant Site Leaders and Site Leaders in planning and creating a positive camp experience.
- Effective team member with helpful participation.
- Ability to problem solve effectively and efficiently using creativity to resolve camper and staff issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain a healthy balance between building relationships and administrative duties.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the MION Guest Services Manager.
Secondary Job Functions
- Participate in a variety of guest group specific tasks and responsibilities to facilitate the SpringHill Experience for Guest Groups during the summer.
- Participate in a variety of tasks and responsibilities to facilitate the SpringHill Experience for students and staff during the summer.
- Commitment to the mission and ministry philosophy of SpringHill.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead spiritually.
- Ability to present self in a professional manner with parents, guests and churches in addressing needs.
- Detail oriented.
- Pursuing a degree in a related field preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, bend, and twist.
- Ability to push and pull loads.
- Must be able to lift frequently up to 35 lbs.; occasionally 35-100 lbs. with assistance.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
