Front Desk Agent / Guest Service Specialist (Urgently Hiring)

Job Summary:

The Front Desk Agent at SpringHill Suites Cheraw is responsible for providing exceptional guest service at the hotel's front desk. This individual will greet guests, check them in and out, and assist with any questions or concerns they may have during their stay. The Front Desk Agent must have a flexible availability and be able to work full time hours. This is an individual contributor role with opportunities for growth within the hospitality industry.

Compensation & Benefits:

The Front Desk Agent position offers a competitive hourly rate of $11 to $13, with biweekly pay periods. This is a full-time position with the potential for overtime hours. Responsibilities:

- Greet and check-in guests in a friendly and efficient manner
- Answer phones and assist guests with inquiries and requests
- Process payments and accurately record all transactions
- Create and maintain reservation records
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
- Monitor and maintain lobby and front desk area cleanliness and organization
- Address and resolve guest complaints and concerns
- Assist with daily housekeeping and maintenance tasks as needed
- Communicate with other hotel departments to ensure guest needs are met
- Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff
- Attend trainings and meetings as required

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Computer proficiency, specifically with hotel reservation systems and Microsoft Office
- Must have a flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 20 pounds
