Springside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, located in Pittsfield MA, is currently seeking a Full Time Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Preventionist (SDC/IP). Requirements for Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Preventionist (SDC/IP):
- Must possess valid unencumbered, RN State License and current CPR certification
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
- Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center or other related healthcare setting. Must have minimum of one year experience in long term care.
- Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, and computer skills.
- Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.
Job Duties for Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Preventionist (SDC/IP):
- Assure appropriate utilization of resources necessary for the delivery of quality patient care
- Collecting/tracking of COVID testing within facility
- Communicate with other departments, patients, and families to ensure a coordinated interdisciplinary approach
- Dementia training and policy and procedures
- Conducts the facility new hire orientation process
- Maintains staff licensure, certification, physicals and immunization for compliance
- Oversee staff and assist when needed
