Role Description
The associate in this position will defend a variety of civil defense lawsuits, including wrongful death and survival actions, products liability, premises liability, dramshop, trucking and transportation, construction litigation, and other matters involving catastrophic personal injuries and / or property damage. The associate will handle the day-to-day aspects of this work, including client meetings, reporting and investigation, and taking and attending depositions, hearings, mediations and arbitrations and / or trials. Depending on the size and exposure of the case, the candidate will independently handle the case or work closely with a shareholder.
Candidates should have a working knowledge of state and federal civil procedure, and excellent advocacy and writing skills. Litigation experience, including taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing motions, attending mediations, reporting to clients and insurance carriers, and billing is strongly preferred. Valid Texas BAR license required.

- Handle docket of casualty cases with partner supervision

- Independently handle cases or work closely with a partner
Qualifications :
Valid Texas BAR license required.
At least 2 years' experience in civil litigation.

Pay range and compensation package :
Compensation package includes base salary, dependent upon experience, with quarterly bonus potential based on hours billed rather than collections; 401(k) with profit share; paid parental leave; healthcare; and flexible work environment.
