The Compensation Analyst II is responsible for supporting one or more areas of the business providing subject matter expertise and analysis of Sprouts broad-based compensation programs, short-term incentives, cost analyses, and recognition programs, as well as being a business partner to area supported.
Overview of Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to assigned area regarding Sprouts compensation programs, policies, practices, and processes.
- Ensure organizational compliance with Federal and State laws, including reporting requirements.
- Advise business partners and team members on Federal and State employment regulations, compensation policies, related procedures, and programs.
- Conducts annual market analysis of field jobs, determining market competitiveness, providing recommendations for jobs and pay structures.
- Prepares annual labor cost analysis of minimum wage increases and company initiatives.
- Performs various analyses for new programs and company initiatives impacting compensation and recognition programs.
- Collects and prepares company data for annual and ad-hoc compensation survey submissions.
- Performs calculations and processes quarterly and annual bonus plan payments.
- Research team member questions regarding pay increases, bonus payments, and other compensation issues, providing responses through ticket system or shared email box.
- Performs salary administration tasks including, merit processing, minimum wage tracking and auditing, maintaining pay structure tools and resources.
- Performs audits and maintenance of HCM Workday compensation areas, as well as responds to auditor requests on bonus payouts, pay issues and compliance with pay guidelines.
- Supports recognition programs through data collection and processing of awards.
- Observe, interview, and survey employees and conduct focus group meetings to collect job, organizational, and occupational information.
- Prepare reports to summarize job analysis and evaluation results, and compensation analysis information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Mathematics, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of prior compensation experience
- A combination of education, training and relevant work experience may be substituted upon hiring manager’s approval
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of Workday preferred
- Experience with Human Resources concepts, processes, laws, regulations, and procedures
- Ability to work under deadline pressure with changing priorities and effectively manage multiple projects
- Very well organized, high attention to detail, logical problem-solving skill and must be able to maintain the confidentiality of employee information
- Perform extensive research, make independent analysis and report findings
- Proactively identify problems or needs, involve stakeholders and develop viable action plans/recommendations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical, inductive reasoning and decision-making skills, and ability to work on cross-functional teams
