As a Promotional Planning Analyst, you will be responsible for forecasting and allocating grocery products across all our store locations and distribution centers, directly impacting product availability, customer satisfaction, and sales performance. You'll collaborate closely with buying, planning, and operations teams to achieve accurate demand forecasting, minimize out-of-stocks, and maximize product availability during promotional periods. This program features an enhanced onboarding experience focused on corporate acclimation, including direct exposure to executive leadership, personalized mentor pairing, and an onboarding ambassador to guide you through your first months.

Overview of Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions
Rotational Learning: Participate in a structured rotational program, gaining exposure to various aspects of promotional planning, including demand forecasting, inventory allocation, and sales analysis.
Enhanced Corporate Transition Onboarding:
- Participate in a comprehensive onboarding program designed to ease the transition from academia to the corporate world, covering topics such as professional communication, time management, and company culture.
- Engage in sessions with executive leadership to gain insights into the company’s strategic direction and operational priorities.
- Be paired with an experienced mentor who will provide ongoing guidance, career development advice, and support.
- Be assigned an onboarding ambassador, a peer mentor, who will provide day-to-day guidance, answer questions, and help you navigate the initial stages of your role.
- Manage the end-to-end process for prebooking promotional inventory, building accurate forecasts and store allocations to meet the anticipated demand during promotional periods.
- Collaborate with the buying team to accurately forecast and allocate seasonal inventory, including holiday items and limited time offers, ensuring proper replenishment to maximize sales throughout the season.
- Oversee the store-level allocations and sell-through strategies for discontinued items, ensuring a smooth transition and minimizing disruption to sales, stock levels, and shrink.
- Collaborate with the store operations and distribution partners to ensure clear communication of allocation files, enabling timely and precise delivery of goods to stores and distribution centers.
- Provide general administrative support related to promotional planning, including managing timelines, scheduling meetings, and organizing documentation.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Obtain or be in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. (August 2024 – May 2025 graduates)
- GPA of 3.7 or higher
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in retail, supply chain, and inventory management.
- No previous retail or planning experience required.
