Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, demonstrating clinical expertise and a commitment to improving patient outcomes. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assessments of patients.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV insertion and monitoring.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with ICD-10 standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment options.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient status promptly.
- Assist in the management of patients with critical care needs, including those requiring neonatal ventilator support.
- Ensure a safe environment for patients, particularly those with disabilities or special needs.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Experience in a Medical/Surgical setting is preferred; critical care experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with esthetic laser treatment is desirable.
- Proficiency in handling medical records and documentation practices.
- Experience working with children is advantageous, especially in critical care scenarios.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being capable of working independently when necessary.
- NIHSS certification required BLS 7p-7:30a and every other weekend
