What are the responsibilities and job description for the Communications and Media Manager position at Spruce Lake?
Spruce Lake Ministries encourages persons from a variety of traditions to a deeper faith in God through Jesus Christ. In this peaceful setting in the heart of the Pocono Mountains in northeastern Pennsylvania, Spruce Lake and Pinebrook provide Christian church, family and corporate groups with lodging, meeting spaces and meals for their next event or retreat. Spruce Lake also hosts summer camps, programmatic retreats, and outdoor education programs throughout the year.
The Communication and Media Manager (CMM) and is responsible for developing and implementing strategic internal and external communications for Spruce Lake Ministries (SLM). The CMM is the primary photographer, videographer, and graphic designer for SLM.
Prerequisites :
- Possess spiritual maturity, taking initiative to personally grow, and encourage others to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Must fully embrace and align with SLM's vision, core purpose, statement of faith and core values.
- Conduct him / herself behaviorally in a manner that is above reproach, realizing that the greatest potential for ministry is achieved through the witness of Christ-like individuals.
Accountability : Accountable to Spruce Lake Director
Supervision : Summer Media Intern, Summer Youth Videographers, Agape Intern
Qualifications
Physical Requirements : Ability to stand, walk and / or hike around the camping environment including on uneven terrain, and to lift or carry photography and videography equipment.
Essential Responsibilities : Strategy and brand management, safeguarding the voice, tone and brand in alignment with SLM's vision and missions, overseeing creation and curation of content across all communication platforms, and other duties as assigned.
